ACKNOWLEDGE
How are you feeling? Be completely honest with yourself. Don’t hold back your emotions or thoughts about something because developing a solution requires knowing your background in regards to the situation.
EXAMINE
Balance your Internal and External* needs. You have different aspects of your life. You play different roles, and those rolls require different examinations.
SET GOALS
What will make you move forward? Make a list of what you want to do in order to live your best life.
PLAN TASKS
Make a list of daily tasks to move forward on projects and achieve all your goals. Evenly distribute the time you have between each thing you want to accomplish.
REFLECT
What have you accomplished? How have you accomplished these things? Distinguish what made it possible to complete something versus what held you back. Try new methods and hone your process.
PREPARE
Surround yourself with support. Ask for help when need be, and don’t push yourself too hard. Have a system that encourages you to reach your goals yet stops you from burning out.
EMPOWER
Always be kind to yourself. Don’t sweat the small stuff and learn from your mistakes instead of beating yourself up for them.
CONNECT
Celebrate all of your accomplishments. It is important to recognize how far you’ve come in regards to what you’re handling. Take time to breathe and feel the excitement of the moment.
PLAN
Create new and good habits. Plan accordingly to become the best version of yourself as possible and to have a positive mindset. If you’re being negative and dread starting your days, there won’t be any moving forward.
*BALANCE BETWEEN BOTH
External
WORK: achieving goals vs. enjoying the ride
SOCIAL: being outgoing vs. taking time for yourself
FAMILY: fulfilling responsibilities vs. creating healthy boundaries
FUN: allocating time for things you enjoy vs. making sure you don’t over-do it
Internal
MIND: challenging yourself intellectually vs. creating opportunities for your mind to rest
HEART: giving love vs. receiving love
HEALTH: doing things properly vs. treating yourself once in a while
